# Updates Role Configuration

**`PUT /api/v1/permissions/roles/{id}`**

Updates the configuration (name, description, or permission set) of an existing role.

**Authentication:** Bearer token required (`Authorization: Bearer <token>`)

**Permission:** `Permissions.PERMISSIONS_ROLE_UPDATE`
